Ether Anomaly — Corruption: The Ether anomaly effect is Corruption. When the Ether Anomaly bar fills on an enemy, they take a burst of Ether damage and become Corrupted, which increases all damage they take from all sources by 10-15% for a duration depending on the agent's Anomaly Mastery. This makes Ether a fantastic element for team-wide damage amplification — even if your main DPS isn't Ether, a Nicole providing Corruption can boost the whole team's damage.

Current Ether Roster: As of v1.4, only two agents use the Ether element: Zhu Yuan (S-Rank, Attack, Main DPS) and Nicole Demara (A-Rank, Support, Sub-DPS/Buffer). This limited pool means Ether teams are built around maximizing the Zhu Yuan + Nicole core, with a third flex slot for a stunner or defensive support.

This is the optimal Ether team and one of the strongest burst compositions in the game. Qingyi is the fastest stunner in ZZZ, building stun in 8-12 seconds against most enemies. This lets you cycle stun windows rapidly, aligning perfectly with Nicole's DEF shred and Zhu Yuan's energy economy.

Why Qingyi Over Other Stunners:

• Fastest stun build: Qingyi's EX Special + enhanced basic attack combo builds 40-50% stun in one rotation
• Energy generation: Qingyi generates energy for the team when she perfect-assists, supporting Zhu Yuan's EX Special spam
• No overlap: Qingyi doesn't need to compete with Ether for debuff slots — she provides pure stun value
• Comparable to Lycaon: Against non-Ice-weak enemies, Qingyi provides the same team DPS contribution as Lycaon would (since Lycaon's 25% Ice RES shred doesn't benefit Zhu Yuan's Ether damage)

Budget Option 1: Zhu Yuan + Nicole + Anby

Anby (A-rank Electric Stun, free) is a fantastic budget replacement for Qingyi. While her stun build is slower (14-18 seconds vs 8-12), her kit is otherwise solid for Ether teams:

• Her EX Special has good stun multiplier and low energy cost
• She generates energy on dodge counters, which are easy to land
• At C6 (M6), her EX Special costs 20% less energy and deals 35% more stun damage

With Anby, your stun windows are less frequent but slightly longer (since Anby's stun duration bonus from C2 extends stun by 1 second). Adjust your rotation to use Nicole's DEF shred during the first 2 seconds of the stun window for maximum Zhu Yuan burst.

Budget Option 2: Nicole + Anby + Flex DPS (No Zhu Yuan)

If you don't have Zhu Yuan, Nicole + Anby + any attack DPS (Billy, Anton, etc.) still forms a competent team. Nicole's universal DEF shred benefits any damage type, and Anby provides the stun window for burst. This team won't clear endgame Shiyu Defense, but it's more than enough for story progression up to Inter-Knot level 50.

Free-to-Play Advice

Zhu Yuan was a limited banner S-rank, so if you missed her banner, she's currently unavailable. In that case, build Nicole to C6 and save your Polychromes for Zhu Yuan's first rerun. Nicole C6 is so strong that she's worth building even if you don't have Zhu Yuan — she slots into many non-Ether teams as a universal DEF shred support. Many top meta teams (like Caesar + Burnice teams) use Nicole as the third slot for the 40% DEF shred.
